Energy exists within the realm of duality as an infinite variety of frequencies, wavelengths, and colors. Energy moves and expresses itself as a sine wave.
As energy moves it creates information, which serves as a directing and guiding force for the energy.

A river is a perfect natural example of energy and information working together in harmony.
The water in the river is analogous to energy and the river bank is analogous to information. As the water (energy) flows across the land it cuts a channel into the earth forming a river bank (information). Over time, as the river bank deepens it guides and directs the water's flow and gives energy its ability to do work.
